Segment component won’t apply to a glyph

Hey everyone,

for a specific font idea I wanted to work with segment components. I set everything up as shown in the official tutorial but when I right click on a segment in the glyph and choose to apply a segment component and also choose a segment component by double clicking, nothing happens. The context menu just disappears and I am left with a glyph without the segment component. What am I doing wrong?

Segment components work for me. Could you send me the file as a private message here on the forum so I can have a look what might be the issue?
