Segment component won't apply to certain segments

I cannot choose to add segment components to a smooth-curved segment (e.g. circle), even though copy & pasting works. Can I have the option in any segment please?

Also, pasting to a curved segment ending with the starting node is refused (gets attached to the previous segment). This is not an issue with straight segments.

Segment components cannot be applied to curved segments. There is no single, clean way of stretching a Bézier segments onto a curved segment, so it’s currently not done. (Brush components can bend somewhat, but they are also limited in this regard.)

There is no single, clean way of stretching a Bézier segments onto a curved segment, so it’s currently not done.

I see segment component working on curves though; I just need to past to the segment. I guess it may be difficult when the segment component is not detailed enough? (it’s fine by me as mine is pretty detailed)
