Is there a way to select between two nodes in path order? For instance if I selected the bottom node and then shift click the top node and it selects all nodes inbetween?
This is easier for shapes that are vertically orientated but anything with counters/angles becomes harder.
Sorry if I missed this in the notes.
That is currently not possible. You can try the Lasso selection tool (click and hold the Selection Tool button in the toolbar).
You can just select that area in both paths, then twice double-click the path you don’t want selected.
Thanks Georg, the lasso is very close to what I needed. Probably close enough not to need the select between thing

eweracs > Drawing > Select All Nodes Between Selected Nodes 
That is definitely faster and easier than the lasso tool.
Or try the recently updated SelectionPalette in Plugin Manager.
