Shift increment in bounding box transforms

I have changed the “Keyboard increment with shift” setting in Font Info > Other to 50 from the default 10.
If I select paths (to get a bounding box) then try to directly change the dimensions of the bounding box by clicking in the :arrow_up_down: field and then shift-arrowing up, I would expect the bounding box to grow by 50. But it just goes by 10s.
Is this an oversight, or have you decided that the multiplier shouldn’t apply in that case?

I assume you mean the number stepping field in the grey info box?
These number stepping fields occur in a lot of places, not only for the bounding box dimensions.
The keyboard increment setting would then also affect the kerning, metrics, master-/instance locations in font info, and even stepping fields in 3rd party plugins.

Not saying which should be correct/exprectd. Just adding this as a note :slight_smile:

That setting is meant for moving stuff in the edit view by keyboard. For other cases, @Mark explains it quite good.
