Some glyphs print in grey - what does it mean?

Hello, I have a question concerning the printing again.

When I print the font table, some glyphs print in grey like on the screenshot. What does it mean? I cannot find any technical differences between those glyphs and the rest.

yehHamzaabove_noon-ar.fina (FC67)
yehHamzaabove_alefMaksura-ar.fina (FC03)
yehHamzaabove_alefMaksura-ar.fina (FC68)

Only those five have this issue. Should I fix something? I cannot find anything wrong with them

Perhaps that is the glyph color? There is an option for that in the printing dialog.

Nope, that’s not the case. And anyway the glyph colour prints in the background of glyph name.

What version of Glyphs do you have?

Can you send me the .glyphs file?

I’m Glyphs 2.6.2.

I’m sending the file by email, thanks.

Can you send a screenshot of the print settings dialog?

When I uncheck “Show Names” or check “Show Metrics” it goes normal.

We had a similar issue a while ago where a space in the sample string would trigger adjacent glyphs to go grey. IIRC it only appeared on some printers, and in some cases different settings/drivers would help.

But @GeorgSeifert was able to fix it for all users too. If it is the same problem, he might be able to help again.
