Space bar (blank) width adjustment problem

Hi, Im new to Glyphs and I just finished creating a font using Glyphs ver 2.3.

I exported the font, installed and tested on Illustrator, everything works great but the space (when you hit space bar) between the characters is very wide no matter I change the numerical values from the space symbol in separator section on Glyphs.

Please help! Thanks!

There is a glyph called space. Set its width to something like 200–250.
