Speedpunk/python3 missing module

dear all, i have an ongoing issue with installing one certain plug-in called speedpunk.

there was a little box that popped up saying i needed to install a missing “python 3” module in order for it to work.

this seemed to be a problem for more people so i tried to resolve the issue as usually explained in the forum (had to enter something into the cockpit of my mac etc).

after the procedure, the said “python 3 missing module” box did in fact not appear again but then my laptop kept overheating and glyphs kept collapsing…so i uninstalled speedpunk in glyphs again.

another issue that had to do with that (i think) was that i could not choose the correct “glyphs” version in the system settings of glyphs,

i hope that someone will be able to help me….maybe there is a way to reset the programme?

sorry for such a long message! thank you so much in advance.

greetings,
maja

Do you mean the Terminal? That is a more advanced workflow. The easiest method of installing Python is by going to WindowPlugin ManagerModules and installing Python from there.

Relaunch Glyphs after the installation has completed and select the Glyphs version of Python in the Addons settings. Relaunch Glyphs again for this Python version to be loaded.

Speedpunk doesn’t use python any more. So how did you install it to get the old, python version?

And for other plugins that require python, install Glyphs Python form Plugin Manager > Modules.
