Strange crashes while assigning Unicode in list view

I need to assign PUA Unicode to some glyphs, but every few entries Glyphs crashes. There’s still about 100 to go, so it’s pretty annoying. May or may not be relevant: I switch between FL6 (where my “template” for the unicode is) and Glyphs, and Glyphs seems to crash when I want to switch back to it Scratch that, even if I’m just in list view, doing nothing.

Hmmm. Try the latest beta please. Go to Glyphs > Preferences > Updates, activate both checkboxes and press the Update button.

And/or try the Add PUA Unicode Values to Selected Glyphs script in my script repo.

No dice :frowning: Crash report with latest beta: Process: Glyphs [58552]Path: /Applications/Glyp - Pastebin.com

The problem is that I need specific PUA on specific glyphs, and the glyphs themselves were renamed. Your script just applies PUA from a range?

In other news, the new snapping on the measurements tool is fantastic, thank you guys

Why not write a little script that parses a table and applies it?

It is better if you send the crash reports through the dialogue that pops up after the restart. Read more here:

I did send a bunch of them, I just wanted to provide some context here.

Re: script, with my coding skills I figured I would be faster doing it manually  These crashes are a real PITA though, even if I do everything really slow, fresh restart, only G and FL6 open, very weird.

Thanks for the reports. I’ll have a look at it.
For now, you could use the unicode field in the info box in the lower left in icon mode.

Oh that’s what I used, I can’t enter anything in the unicode field in the list for some reason.
