I’m setting parameters, and adjustments to the strikeoutPosition and Size parameters do not change in my InDesign proof when the font is exported and Adobe uses a default (which is way to high), but adjustments to the underline parameters do change in the proof. Anyone else have an issue with this?
Are you sure that Adobe apps are using that value at all? Can you try in the web browser and see if it works there. Because if it does, that means that Adobe apps may simply ignore these values.
Thanks for checking in. In InDesign it’s high, in Illustrator it looks fine, and in Word it looks ok (but slightly lower). Yet, none of these change when I change the parameter in Glyphs and re-export. Maybe not a big deal if nobody else has posted this issue. I’m exporting as Postscript, in case that’s something to consider.
It looks like an InDesign issue. I think it’s highly unlikely a designer would be using a strikeout in text. If this hasn’t come up before, I’m thinking to just let it go.
Yep, mystery solved. It’s a weird option in InDesign under Character settings. I case this coes up again…character panel—> strikethrough options—> offset ( 3 worked fine for me).
You can make it a dotted line, diamond pattern, red, 8’ thick…. so many options…
