When the font is exported in version 3, the spaces between the characters change, unlike what was placed inside the application, so that the characters are overlapped on top of each other.

I’m having a similar problem, only the characters are getting distorted, not just overlapping. See the ‘U’ in the bold weight, and most lowercase characters in the regular weight.
Is this Illustrator and you exported as TrueType?
