Too many Inflections error (Glyphs 3)

Glyphs 3 user here.

When I try and export my variable font, Glyphs sends back an error of “too many inflections”, but it doesn’t tell me which glyphs are creating the problem.

I’ve cleaned up my curves as best I could, minimizing inflection points, but I’m still getting the error.

Any help is appreciated.

Can you try the latest cutting edge version? Activate it in Preferences > Updates.

I am using the most current version as far as I know (3.0.2)

Try the latest beta please. Go to Glyphs > Preferences > Updates, activate both checkboxes and press the Update button.

I updated and it now reports which glyphs are causing the error.

similar error on exporting VF:

Zu viele Inflectionen
Glyph “.notdef” contains a curve that has too many inflections in the layer:  foo

funfact: i can actually fix the error by creating an empty glyph called .notdef

clicking on show crashes the app

font has only one glyph ( copied over from a file that crashes on VF export without error) – with just one straight line. not sure where the problem is hiding there.
