Type being bitmapped on PDF's from office

A costumer using one of my fonts complained that the PDF he exports from microsoft word does not allow to select the text, it is bitmapped (OTF and TTF). It doesn’t happen with fonts like calibre and arial.

I generate my fonts with glyphs and I never had any issue like this, because the fonts allow embedding. I was wondering if you had any clue about what this could be?

This is a Word issue. It will only use the outlines for Microsoft fonts. Only way to get around this is to use a different PDF generation mechanism.
