Underline in variable font super tiny

Hey all!

I made a variable font which works great except underline with the font is like 1px regardless of the weight of the font – any ideas how to fix that?

I’ve got my masters set up with the thickness properly, and it works if I use the static version, but for variable it just ignores the underline thickness,

Have you tried setting the underlineThickness custom parameter for the masters?

yea the thickness is already set and it works fine if I don’t use the variable font (I.e. the regular 900 export has the correct underline but the variable font counterpart has an underline of like 1px)

The thickness is not variable, yet. It is on my list. So it will always show the underline of the default master.
