I’m getting the above error when exporting. I’m working on a version of Poppins for a client with a few accessibility tweaks but cant get the bold version to export. Any ideas?

It looks like you opened the compiled font file (TTF or OTF). When making modifications, always try to stay as close to the source as possible. In this case, the source files can be found here:

Download the .glyphs file. Open it in Glyphs.

thanks so much that worked! the readme file says there are 9 weights but the master only has 6. I need medium as well as bold, heavy and oblique. Is there a master for medium?

Your masters are used in order to calculate the weights in between. Check the Exports tab.
