Variable layer just for one component

Hi there,

is there a way to create a new variable axis layer which just affects one component without needing to duplicating all the other glyphs? E. g. assigning some sort of designation “this glyph will look the same as on the other layer” for all other glyphs on that layer, thus linking its appearance to the other layer. not sure if its clear what i’m trying to say though? :smiley:

Maybe a Virtual Master could be what you are looking for. Have a look at the section Optional: add a virtual master here:
