Anything I do other than opening the About box to get the version number causes Version 2.3b (858) to crash. Submitting a crash report causes a crash. Dismissing the crash report window with esc or cancel causes a crash. Leaving it open and trying to use the main windows causes a crash. It it just not usable.

Can you send crash reports? If it doesn’t show the dialog, copy it from the Apple Crash reporter dialog and send it by mail.
