Trying to get these vertical metrics equal across a family, as a detail of the upper serif makes some units difference across exports.
Question: when I run Vertical Metrics Manager, I’d find rational to exclude Aringacute from its calculation (than means deselect “export” for this glyph when running the script). Otherwise I get too big values. And even if Ǻ is cut, lesser bad.
The design community agrees?
My advice: Just eliminate Aringacute from your glyph list. The character only exists in theory and on type specimens.
What Rainer says. Unless you know why you’re including it, don’t. There are multiple threads on this, here for instance: Ring and acute over an A — TypeDrawers
Ok thank you
