What does shift+i do and how can I get out of it?

I’ve hit the shortcut shift+i on accident in Glyphs 3 a few times and it goes into a mode I don’t understand and don’t know how to get back to normal. I’ve tried to search for the answer but I’m not having any luck.

never mind I’ve got it, it goes to TrueType instructor and clicking another tool gets you out if it.
