When a type user uses arrow glyphs, which set is he/she more likely to choose? I am assuming a directional way-finding reason–someone setting up a sign system. Which opentype encodings are best suited and most accessible?

My standard character set includes uni2190-93. Simple, obvious and not too heavy.
