Where is the problem?

Why my corner is looking like that? Am I missing something? I am trying to get a curve in the bottom.

Add a curve point in the middle of the baseline of the serif, then stretch the handles out a bit, then nudge that point up a few tics until you get the cup in the serif. You may need to raise the base of the stem up enough to clear the curve.

You need to add a “right” anchor to be able to move the path out of axis.

And the “left” anchor helps with the positioning of the serif on slanted stems. Move it up and down to see the effect.
