is the latest “MacBook Air 15 M4” fair enough for me as a Type-Designer, for: Glyphs, Graphic Design, web-developments… normal graphic designer/type-designer, python…

Does MacBook Pro more recommended?
Literally all Mac’s with Apple Silicon are plenty for type design and even for most graphic design. If you do a lot Photoshop with big files, get 16GB of memory. The MacBook Air with M4 is basically overkill

Any MacBook Air with Apple silicon will be more than ample for the needs you described. The M3 Air is incredible, also for more development-centred work. If you are looking at the M4 Air, you should seriously consider the M3 MacBook Pro, which comes at the same price, but has a much better screen, as well as some other better things. You will never notice the speed improvement of M4 over M3.
