Why does copying a glyph not bring the base glyph’s kern groups with it?
Either command D or add glyph commands

The kerning groups should be copied, but not glyph kerning. So if there is kerning that is not group kerning, that needs to be copied manually.

I was talking abut only the kern groups.

Those should be perseveres. How did you duplicate the glyphs?

by adding glyphs from the languages under scripts menu at left side

You are not coping glyphs, you are making new ones. Those usually pick up components, the shapes and spacing it already set. But kerning classes are a bit more complicated. I have a look if I can improve this.
