Why does Preview disappear for other weights when deleting a node?

Hi new Glyphs user here, so apologies in advance if I’m asking a silly question.

I’m editing an ExtraLight Master font, that exports to four different weights and is shown neatly in the preview window when I’m editing. However when I delete a node, the line is still present but the previews for the other weights disappear. What am I doing wrong?

because then the masters are not compatible and the instance can’t be generated from them.

Thanks for your quick reply @GeorgSeifert, how do I remove nodes and ensure that the Masters are still compatible?

You need to remove them in all masters. Or keep them if they are needed in the any other master.
