Is this a bug or a feature? Should not the path behave the same in both scenarios?
it is not optimal, I know. I’ll see what I can do.
In the meantime you can try the mekkablue script Paths > Remove Nodes and Try to Keep Shape, perhaps assign a shortcut to it.
