Similar vertical metrics-values – different behavior in InDesign

I have two Fonts with nearly identical values for vertical metrics, but they behave differently in InDesign when using different first-baseline-offset. One is a regular Text-Font, one a Dingbat-Font. I found this Information in the forum

and changed some small letters to capital Letters, so I have all caps from A to Z, but the problem still exists.
These are the vertical metrics:

Textfont:
vm%20metro

Dingbat-Font:
vm%20vaughan

and these the results in InDesign:

The offset for caps-height and x-height doesn’t seem to reflect any of the vertical metrics-values. Caps-height-offset is about 770 and x-height-offset about 735.

Thanks. They don’t say wich letter is taken for measuring the caps-height, it seems to be capital E.
